Telephone Headset Systems

Which is Best?

If you are on the phone much of the day, whether it is at the office, the home office, or at home on long or frequent calls, you have probably learned that people hate being put on speakerphone.  But if you prop the phone on your shoulder, you'll get a neck cramp.  And simply holding the phone to your ear is not only tiresome, it prevents you from typing and taking notes.

Here is the solution: a telephone headset system - it is a cordless, portable telephone and headset all in one.  It is more reliable than using a cordless phone with a cheap headset, and lighter, too!

What to look for

  1. Sound quality - clarity and volume
  2. Signal strength - how far can you move from the base unit
  3. Non-interference - you don't want computer equipment, neighbor's phones or other devices to create static or interfere.
  4. Reliability - It's not much good if it doesn't last!
  5. Features - like
a headset that is comfortable (to you; everyone's different),
    dial pad,
    volume control,
    mute and hold buttons,
    belt clip (you'll use that!)
multi-line - if you need that
  6. Price - of course, we want to get the best bargain we can!
  7. Weight - you will be walking around with it!

Recommendations

In our 10 years of experience with headset phones, Plantronics stands out as the most reliable and best sound quality.

The best two are the CT-11 and CT-12.  The only difference is the style of headset: over the head band (CT-12) or clip on the ear (CT-11)
