Spanish and Portuguese culture seems to have a fascination with death.  I've never seen such cemeteries!
The girl on this busy Lisbon street caught my eye. What is she thinking?  She seems oblivious to the busy city life around her.
And, much to the chagrin and embarrassment of my good friend, João, Oxcarts are still in use.  I teased João before I arrived that he should not take any trouble to meet me, just drive the family oxcart out!  He indignantly told me that no one had an oxcart, Portugal is a modern country. So as soon as we arrived at his parents country home what did we see?  An oxcart!
And as we drove around town, at almost every turn, we ran into the SAME oxcart.  I couldn't have paid them for a better joke! :-)
